REQUIREMENT

We were asked to specify and supply three reliable behind-toilet macerators for the commercial environment. The units would require high level alarms and BMS connections so that any fault are found at the earliest opportunity.

METHOD

• The PowerFlushPro behind-toilet macerator was specified. Inside there is a cast iron pump with a stainless steel impellor. The motor is rated at 1kW to offer good starting torque.
• This versatile unit offers left or right hand discharge.
• A high level alarm, volt free contact for BMS and a volted contact for connection to the water shut off solenoid are all included as standard.

RESULT

• Being able to offer a behind toilet macerator that is commercially rated allows us to supply a wide customer base within the commercial sector.
• The option of a left or right hand discharge offers the installer flexibility.
• Regular maintenance of these units is essential especially when in the public domain. Correctly maintained, behind-toilet macerators have a long life span.
• The high level alarm and BMS connection provide close monitoring to prevent flooding by allowing facilities management to take action quickly.
